A message from Superintendent Todd Lee
Dear Parents and Community Members:
One of the many things that drew me to this community was the strong sense of pride students, staff, parents and community members have for the school district. I am also impressed with the multitude of opportunities available to our students and how our staff continually go above and beyond each and every day to help fulfill our District’s mission of “preparing today’s youth for tomorrow’s challenges.”
Since May 2017, the District has been working through a process to address our facility needs. A significant investment in our school is needed to update aging infrastructure and address code compliance issues. In addition, our classrooms and educational support spaces are in need of updates to meet current and future educational needs. Therefore, we are at a crossroads and need to make a decision if, and how, to make this investment that will impact our District and students for decades.
To help with this process, a community-based task force, made up of business leaders, parents and community members was formed in March of 2019. Ultimately, the District’s goal is to finalize a plan that reflects the priorities of our taxpayers.
We will continue to work through this process with you, our community, anticipating both an Operating and Bond election this fall, November 3, 2020. Moving forward we will continue to reach out to all our communities for continual input. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.
I look forward to working with you to improve our facilities for our students, staff and community.
