Red Rock Central will host an engaging schoolwide Scholastic Book Fair Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 through Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019. This year’s theme is “An Arctic Adventure, Snow Much to Read!” Funds raised at the fair will go to purchasing books for the school library. Families and the community are invited to attend this exciting reading event, which inspires children to become lifelong readers.
The book fair will feature books for preschool through young adult readers. The students will have an opportunity during their library time that week to look through the books and make a wish list of some of their favorite titles. Students may purchase books during school hours all week.
There is also an online book fair going on during this time. The money spent online will also go to purchase books for the library. The online book fair runs from Oct. 27 –Nov. 9. There are many books online that are not at the book fair.
There is a new digital payment option for students this year called e-wallet. It is a secure alternative to sending students to school with cash. Parents can easily create an eWallet account and set a spending limit for their student. After the book fair, any unused funds are released back to the cardholder. The e-wallet link is this paragraph includes a video explaining how e-wallet works, and you can sign up for an account at the online book fair link.
This year’s book fair will be held in the Red Rock Central School Library located on 2nd floor. Operating hours will be Mon., Nov. 4 –Thurs, Nov. 7 from 9AM-11AM & 1PM-3PM. We will also be open during Parent Teacher conferences through 9PM.
