Activity List
What is an activity list and why do I need one?

An activity list is simply a listing of things in which you have been involved during high school. If you plan to apply for any scholarships, you will need this, as almost every application asks for this. Some might have a checklist for you to complete or you might be asked to write a paragraph or attach a list.

What should be included on an activity list?

The main sections on an activity list include  academics, athletics, fine arts, volunteer work, and work experience. Think back to things you have done through school, in the community, or through your church.  You should have a resume that you created in LifeSmarts - use this as your starting point and add to it. Think of awards you have received or things that make you stand out from other students.

What if I don't have something in every category?
Ask your parents. They might remember something you don't. Or, consider joining an activity or getting involved in some community service. It is never too late to join!

How should this be formatted?
You can type a list, use an excel sheet, or any way that makes sense to you. Each application will ask for something different, but many just ask you to attach a list. Even if you are asked to write it in paragraph form, having this list handy will keep you from having to re-think it each time. I have included some examples below, but please use whatever format you would like.
