The class is free, but you need to register to participate. Register through this Google Form by April 12th.

Have you tried ChatGPT? It’s an Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that can generate text and other types of content in response to your inputs using natural language as the primary mode of interaction. Join Lori Creighton to learn the basics of ChatGPT and explore how you can use it as your personal assistant to guide you through the process of writing whatever you need to write – from how-to instructions and memoirs to resumes and business communications.

Here’s what Lori will cover:

  1. The type of AI ChatGPT is built on and why it’s not an “easy button” to do your work for you.
  2. Overview of writing tasks you can do with ChatGPT.
  3. Concerns and limitations to keep in mind.
  4. How to interact with ChatGPT to get the output you want.
  5. First steps to begin utilizing ChatGPT for writing.

Whether you’ve been experimenting with ChatGPT or it’s completely new to you, what you learn in this class will inspire you to jump in and see what you can do with this type of chatbot. It’s a tool that’s accessible for everyone and it can help you to become a better communicator.
